| VETERANS DAY PARADE & RECOGNITION OF VIETNAMESE YELLOW FLAG AUSTIN, TEXAS November 11,2004 |

| This year Veterans Day (Nov. 11, 2004) was to
celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Gulf of Tonkin Incident, and to honor
Vietnam Veterans. On this occation, the State of Texas, Travis County, and
the City of Austin paid a special tribute to the Vietnamese American
Community by signing Proclamations/Resolution to recognize the Yellow flag
with 3 Red stripes as the formal symbol of the Vietnamese American
Community in Texas. About 300 Vietnamese American from Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Austin marched on Congress Avenue in the parade that was described the biggest one in 30 years. The parade involved about 90 groups of American Veterans, Boy and Girl Scout, School bands and dancers, ROTC.... The Vietnamese Amrican group was the fifth in line, led by ex-captain Michael Do. |

| The ceremony was held at tt the South step of Texas Capitol at about 11:30. Ex-General Michael Smith, on behalf of the Governor Rick Perry, read the proclamation to recognize the yellow flag and presented it to Mr. David Nguyen, Chairman of Vietnamese American Community of Austin. Mr. Bi Nguyen (Vietnamese Senior Citizens) and Mr. Michael Do (Vietnamese Veterans Assn.) also received the Resolutions from the Travis County and City of Austin. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
